Commercial Documentation Specialist 

Consumers Credit Union is looking to hire a passionate and experienced Commercial Documentation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the orderly flow of business documents through the Credit Union and the Business Services department.  In addition, the Specialist will be responsible for supporting our admin responsibilities in various platforms that we operate in to complete our daily tasks. This will include leading the testing, maintaining the operating flow and training the team when opportunity arises. 

What you will be doing: 

• Prepare all business loan documents per approvals that support and secure business loans with collaboration from CLO and Credit Analyst.
• Serve as an initial contact point for all non-financial documents received by the Business Services department. Log in, review, and distribute these documents as appropriate.
• Organize and maintain electronic folders and OnBase files.
• Identify and report new exceptions or cleared exceptions to the Credit Analyst and/or the CLO as appropriate.
• Manage construction loan processes.
• Ensure compliance with loan approvals and covenants.
• Ensure terms of documentation and boarding of loans are accurate and consistent with loan approval. 
• Communicate with other creditors when appropriate and with outside parties such as the state, county, title company and the member.
• Ensure timely follow up of all recorded documents or notices to ensure proper collateral position and notifications. 
• Record and track all security related documents such as fixture filings, UCC’s and mortgages.
• Support admin responsibilities in TruStage, NextGen and our Booking Service, in addition to other platforms as they are introduced, as it relates to Business Services.
• Help drive new automation initiatives as lead project coordinator as needed.
• Serve as a resource for credit union personnel related to document requests for loans and deposit services.   
• Provide documentation and reporting support for internal and external audits.
• Assist in any area as directed by your supervisor.

What you'll bring to the table:

• Thorough understanding of business/commercial documentation. Ability to organize, implement and utilize checklists related to documentation, departmental operations and members.
• Familiarity with operating systems and reporting related to business services
• Familiarity with deposit related requirements.
• Undergraduate degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
