Independent Living Skills Trainer

United Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, Inc. d/b/a Constructive Partnerships Unlimited (CP Unlimited) is one of New York City's largest and most wide spread Community Living Organizations with programs dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.

Currently CP Unlimited is seeking a part time Independent Living Skills Trainer to provide Medicaid Waiver Services to people with Developmental Disabilities in their home and/or community based settings. As an Independent Living Skills Trainer, you will teach skills enabling individuals to live and function independently in the community. Training may include but not be limited to activities that are apart of each person’s daily life such as socialization, travel training, budgeting, shopping, and work related skills development.

To qualify for the Independent Living Skills Trainer position: Associates of Art or Associates of Science degree or the equivalent completion of courses in a related field, or high school diploma and at least one year of relevant disability training experience.
