Position Summary
The Assistant Manager, Hospitality at To Kalon Collective supports the day-to-day operations of hospitality and guest experiences for the winery's prestigious ICON portfolio, including Schrader, Double Diamond, and To Kalon Vineyard Company. Working closely with the Hospitality leadership team, this role is instrumental in delivering exceptional guest programming particularly for Trade partners and Wine Club members and ensures that every visitor interaction reflects the legendary Robert Mondavi brand and the values of Constellation Brands. The Assistant Manager, ICON coordinates guest experience logistics, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and maintains rigorous hospitality standards to help preserve the winery's reputation as a premier Napa Valley destination for discerning guests and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Programming
The Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio is responsible for designing and delivering engaging daily guest experiences and educational programming that reflect the prestige of the ICON portfolio at Robert Mondavi Winery-including Schrader, Double Diamond, and To Kalon Vineyard Company. This role coordinates all hospitality activities related to the ICON portfolio and supports Trade and Wine Club member visits to Robert Mondavi Winery, ensuring that each interaction is seamless, consistent, and memorable. The Assistant Manager is accountable for executing guest experience strategies that drive revenue conversion and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as guest engagement, sales per visitor, and member retention. By actively monitoring guest feedback and analyzing performance data, this position helps to continuously refine daily experiences, maximize guest satisfaction, and achieve measurable results for the ICON portfolio and the broader guest community at Robert Mondavi Winery.
Operational Support & Excellence
The Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio is responsible for ensuring that all hospitality environments related to the ICON portfolio at Robert Mondavi Winery including Schrader, Double Diamond, and To Kalon Vineyard Company consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. This creates an inviting and polished atmosphere for every guest, including those visiting for Trade and Wine Club member experiences. A key aspect of this role is supporting the implementation and strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), which are essential for maintaining operational efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across all guest-facing activities. The Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio also assists in managing staffing schedules, resource allocation, and daily logistics to optimize service delivery and support the smooth operation of the hospitality team. Additionally, this role participates in regular reviews of operational performance, actively contributing ideas for process improvement and innovation, and helping to refine SOPs to further elevate both guest satisfaction and operational excellence for the ICON portfolio at Robert Mondavi Winery.
Financial & Business Support
The Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio plays a critical role in supporting the financial and business objectives of the ICON portfolio at Robert Mondavi Winery-including Schrader, Double Diamond, and To Kalon Vineyard Company. This role assists in tracking and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to guest engagement, Trade and Wine Club member visits, and revenue generated from ICON portfolio experiences. The Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio provides valuable input for monthly business reports and helps identify operational gaps or opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability. By effectively managing daily operations and maintaining a strong focus on cost controls, this position supports the achievement of financial and attendance targets, ensuring the ongoing success and growth of the ICON portfolio's hospitality function at Robert Mondavi Winery.
Destination Marketing & Collaboration
The Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio supports destination marketing efforts by actively managing guest experience feedback and collaborating with internal teams and external partners. This role helps promote Robert Mondavi Winery and specifically the ICON portfolio of Schrader, Double Diamond, and To Kalon Vineyard Company as premier Napa Valley destinations, with a particular emphasis on attracting and retaining high lifetime value (LTV) guests, trade and wine club members. The Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio ensures that all guest communications and experiences reflect the highest standards of the winery's brand. By monitoring guest feedback throughout the visit experience, this role evaluates the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and guest programming, identifying opportunities for continual improvement. Additionally, by participating in outreach campaigns with local tourism boards, hospitality organizations, and neighboring wineries, the Assistant Manager helps drive increased foot traffic and guarantees every visitor experience aligns with the ICON portfolio's reputation for excellence and long-term guest loyalty at Robert Mondavi Winery.
Cross-Functional Teamwork
The Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio collaborates closely with Brand, Direct to Consumer, Public Relations, and Human Resources teams to ensure unified messaging and coordinated guest experiences across all ICON portfolio hospitality operations at Robert Mondavi Winery. This role supports the implementation of consistent global brand standards in all guest-facing activities, working with international teams when needed to maintain brand integrity for Schrader, Double Diamond, and To Kalon Vineyard Company. By fostering strong cross-functional relationships, the Assistant Manager helps align ICON portfolio hospitality initiatives with broader business objectives, ensuring that every guest interaction especially those with high lifetime value and trade and wine club members reflects the excellence and prestige of the Robert Mondavi Winery brand.
Facility & Experience Coordination
The Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio is responsible for overseeing daily facility maintenance and ensuring that all guest spaces and equipment associated with the Schrader, Double Diamond, and To Kalon Vineyard Company brands are meticulously maintained and presented to premium standards. This role supports the flawless execution of guest, trade and wine club member visits by coordinating logistics and ensuring a welcoming, polished atmosphere for every guest. Through diligent attention to facility upkeep and readiness, the Assistant Manager, ICON Portfolio helps create exceptional and memorable experiences that consistently reflect the high standards and prestige of the ICON portfolio at Robert Mondavi Winery.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality, event coordination, or guest services; wine industry experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets through effective relationship-building and proactive networking strategies to drive customer engagement and visitation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach to working with both internal and external teams.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and the ability to interpret key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings, to support guest programming and business needs.
- Strong attention to detail, a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences, and a commitment to upholding the brand standards of Robert Mondavi Winery.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience in a luxury wine position
- Minimum of five years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least one year in a supervisory or assistant management role; wine industry or luxury hospitality experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to support brand positioning and marketing strategies within a guest-focused environment.
- Experience developing, tracking, and interpreting program KPIs related to guest engagement and revenue.
- Strong background in collecting and leveraging guest feedback to inform improvements in guest experience.
- Proficiency in supporting guest programming or new service rollouts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and deliver outstanding guest service.
- Experience training or mentoring team members and supporting a positive team culture.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with reservation or customer management systems is a plus.
- Platforms, or event management software.
- Experience working with global teams, self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and upholding high standards of guest experience and brand integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- WSET Level 3 certification, CMS Certified or equivalent industry experience required. Advanced wine education or other certifications a strong asset.
- Previous experience in luxury hospitality, fine wine, or premium consumer brands required.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-touch guest experiences for VIP, Trade, or Wine Club audiences.
- Experience supporting exclusive events, tastings, or programming for high-value clientele.
- Strong understanding of Napa Valley's wine industry, including market trends and competitor landscape.
- Proven ability to adapt communication and service style to meet the expectations of discerning guests.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, reservation or in an international brand environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with industry partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a track record of contributing innovative ideas to enhance guest experiences.
Physical Requirements/Other
- Able to lift 40lbs on occasion.
- Work in a normal office environment. Sit at a workstation for up to 2-hour intervals. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Must be flexible in work style, location, and schedule: travel up to 30%, the wine industry is a hospitality-oriented industry, so availability to work weekends and evenings on occasion as required.

The salary range for this role is:
$70,900.00 - $104,200.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
