Transfer Agent Project Manager

The Onboarding Operations team is tasked with onboarding all new US Transfer Agent appointments. This employee will manage the conversion of client shareholder records onto our proprietary systems and de-converting client shareholder records for appointments that have been terminated. Onboarding Operations is responsible for Public and Private Company Transfer Agent appointments, as well as, IPO launches, Direct Listings, SPAC IPO, De-SPAC business combinations, and REIT's. The role holder will be required to directly manage Issuer Services new business client projects through the onboarding process ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are identified and engaged to complete a successful onboarding.
A role you will love
The Transfer Agent Project Manager oversees the onboarding project, defining the scope of the project, identifying specific work streams, developing the project plan, engaging all internal and external stakeholders to successfully complete the project. This employee is the primary contact for the client during the onboarding and is expected to continue cultivating the client relationship and project confidence in Computershare's process and abilities throughout. The Transfer Project Manager must ensure that the expectations of the client and all deliverables are met prior to transitioning to the Relationship Management Team for day-to-day management post onboarding.
Some of your duties will include:
- Manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously. Maintain current MS Project plan and keep stakeholders informed. Facilitate and plan initial kick-off and weekly ongoing project meetings with client, counsel, and internal stakeholders to ensure implementation milestones are met to successfully complete the client onboarding. Ensure all legal, compliance, and regulatory appointment documentation is obtained timely and in good order such as legal Opinions, Board resolutions, Custody agreements, Plan documents, etc.
- Provide appropriate project guidance to Event Specialist and Data Analyst.
- Complete initial shareholder Welcome package mailing.
- Ability to work and speak professionally with all levels of customers both internal and external such as attorneys, CEO's, CFO's, Senior Managers, Sales Team, etc.
- Monitors and reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders and reports project progress, problems, and solutions to Onboarding Operations manager on a frequent basis.
- Coordinates and/or performs applicable set-up activities to all Computershare peripheral systems and coordinates shareholder selling activity where required in the process.
- Receive escalated deliverables from management prioritizing accordingly.
What will we need from you?
Required:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of Transfer Agent functions and/or strong Financial Services industry knowledge required including requirements for share issuance, share movement, restrictions, closing process, etc.
Preferred:
3 to 5 years Transfer Agency and Project Management experience.

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000. This salary is specific to the Jersey City, NJ.
