The Issuer Services UK Registry Team support our interactions with corporate customers in connection with a range of products and services. The Registry Team is part of the broader Issuer Services team, responsible for working with customers across a wider portfolio of service capabilities designed to meet the stakeholder engagement, risk management and corporate governance needs of our clients.
The Strategic Client Operations Director role is responsible for helping design and lead on initiatives designed to ensure an effective target operating model is in operation, and that our products and services, business performance and people management objectives are being advanced in accordance with our corporate goals and strategy.
The Strategic Client Operations Director is expected to work collaboratively across all teams within Issuer Services as well as the wider business, to support effective and efficient delivery by the team and to advance initiatives in support of our client satisfaction and growth objectives.

A role you will love
This role is accountable for leading strategic transformation and operational excellence across the UK Registry Team, part of UCIA Issuer Services. It combines high-level program management, governance, and strategic planning with the other senior leaders in the UK Registry team to deliver exceptional service and drive continuous improvement. The role supports the Managing Director in executing strategic priorities, overseeing transformation initiatives, and ensuring operational delivery meets regulatory, risk, and performance standards.
Whilst the specific priorities of the role will be shaped with the successful applicant, aspects are likely to include supporting and maximising the benefit of new product developments/enhancements, reviewing and refining our target operational model to ensure efficient and effective service delivery, supporting more effective use of data across the team to drive performance and monitoring against agreed KPIs and overseeing key aspects of our people strategy, learning and development and succession planning objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead strategic transformation programs and operational service delivery effectiveness initiatives across UK Registry.
- Shape and implement operational and client service strategies aligned with regional and global goals.
- Help the business to define a target operating model to support both high quality service delivery and business growth.
- Drive governance, reporting, and controls across transformation and operational initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, ensuring succession planning and employee engagement.
- Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs, instigating improvements where necessary.
- Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in operational and strategic domains.
- Represent Issuer Services in internal forums and with external stakeholders as appropriate.
- Support the UK Registry MD with strategic decision-making, communications, and stakeholder engagement
What will you bring to the role?
The Strategic Client Operations Director requires a good understanding of financial services or a similar role working in a regulated environment. They should have internal and external stakeholder management skills, and an understanding of how the wider team works together to achieve their wider team goals and objectives. They should be able to take ownership, working with Integrity across all products and within UK regulations.
They will lead a small team of individuals to deliver on key strategic initiatives. Some of those initiatives will entail short-term / time-bound deliverables, whereas other aspects are likely to form part of supporting the business to achieve its objectives in the long-term. The focus will be on helping the business to organise itself and operate in ways which are efficient and highly effective in contributing to our overall success. The role holder will be required to organise and self-manage their workload, whilst upholding team principles and delivering a high standard of leadership and support.
