We are expanding our Entity Governance & Compliance team to meet the growing demand for governance advisory and managed services. This Senior Manager role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and client engagement within our fast-growing practice. The position offers an opportunity to lead a high-performing team, shape service delivery, and contribute to the evolution of our governance solutions for leading Issuer clients.
A role you will love
The Senior Manager will lead the delivery of governance advisory and managed services engagements, ensuring exceptional client outcomes and operational efficiency. This role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and technical expertise to build capability, enhance service consistency, and strengthen client relationships. Acting as a senior company secretarial advisor, the Senior Manager will oversee core operational functions, mentor and develop staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our governance service offering.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Act as the operational and team leader, ensuring alignment with strategy and excellence in execution
- Contribute to business planning and strategic initiatives to shape the future of the team
- Lead core operational functions including recruitment, resourcing, billing, ensuring scalable and efficient service delivery
- Manage, monitor, and mentor junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting career development
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge, tools, templates, and service delivery processes to enhance team capability and consistency
- Serve as senior co-sec to a small portfolio of clients, providing high-level governance and compliance advice
- Lead the delivery of governance advisory and managed service engagements, including IPO readiness and listing compliance
- Establish, maintain, and grow strong client and external network relationships to support retention and growth
- Contribute market insights, support strategic projects, and stay abreast of internal and external developments to continuously evolve the offering
What will you bring to the role?
You will possess the ability to quickly learn and take on new processes, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience in company secretarial, corporate governance, or legal entity management, ideally 5+ years in a leadership or senior advisory capacity
- Strong technical knowledge of governance frameworks, entity management systems, legal matter management, and billing platforms to support efficient service delivery
- Deep understanding of how governance services contribute to client success and business unit objectives
- Significant influence on client satisfaction, retention, and growth through delivery of high-quality governance services.
- Accountable for operational performance, team capability, and strategic initiatives that shape the future of the practice
Desired qualifications and skills:
- Strong practical experience in governance and compliance is essential
- Qualified member or student of the Governance Institute of Australia (or equivalent international governance body)
- Additional certifications in corporate governance, company secretarial practice, or compliance will be highly regarded
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, set direction, and drive operational excellence
- Experience mentoring and developing staff, fostering a high-performance culture, and managing change effectively
