A Corporate Trust Professional will act as a proficient secondary point of contact for two portfolios of client accounts and assist the Corporate Trust Officers with the negotiation of new trusteeship and customized agency accounts ensuring Computershare's interests are protected from risk. The incumbent will also provide a high level of service to corporate clients, their legal counsel and investors and, when directed by the CTO, execute documents committing Computershare to the terms and conditions contained therein. Further to this you will also work closely with a designated Associate Trust Officer (ATO) to ensure that all pre and post-closing administrative matters are executed seamlessly. Complex and urgent administration will be dealt with directly by the Professional.

A role you will love
- Working with the Corporate Trust Officers, negotiate the terms of a variety of trust and non-trust agreements of varying complexity under which Computershare will assume both contractual and fiduciary obligations, assess the degree of associated risk and make recommendations on acceptability of new business and fees to be charged
- Review and evaluate specific documentation on corporate financing and on other transactions to ensure they are in forms that meet, and can be administered to meet, standards adequate for the protection of Computershare
- Provide a highly-skilled and competent back-up on two portfolios of accounts, including dealing with legal counsel and/or senior officers of client companies on a variety of matters, e.g. attendance at closing and meetings of security holders, agreement interpretation issues, corporate defaults, fee schedules and their application, service quality questions, amendments of or special services under existing contracts and other matters in connection with client service.
- Analyze and interpret agreements to set up internal operation of file and execute necessary administrative set-ups with the aid of an ATO
- Prepare and execute correspondence to clients, their legal counsel or investors. Determine, bill and report all fees for special and ancillary services. In conjunction with the CTO, monitor and control accounts receivable. Escalate any matters to Manager relative to his/her discipline and execution of any assigned special projects
- Work closely with an ATO to ensure all administrative matters are completed in a timely manner and to the highest standard, as well as standing-in for ATOs when required
- Aid the Manager of Administration and General Manager with the training and development of ATOs and foster an environment of collaboration and common goals within the pod
What will you bring to the role?
- University Degree (law, business, commerce, or finance major) is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in financial, corporate/commercial or securities industry at an intermediate or professional level.
- Canadian Securities Course or other Securities Industry training would be an asset
- Corporate Trust Program (Trust Institute, ICB) would be an asset
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Adept at prioritizing and managing conflicting deadlines

Compensation. The base pay range for this role is from $71,357-$107,035 CAD annually.
