6-month FTC

Location: Bristol or Edinburgh (Hybrid)

As the Portfolio PMO you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of complex business change projects, maintenance of the governance for all change activity within the portfolio, as well as having the opportunity to broaden your project experience on large, high-profile initiatives. Working with our experienced people project team and external suppliers across the globe, you will provide governance administration, the tracking of and management of project actions, risks and issues, and supporting all project activity to enable the successful delivery of the project aims.

A role you will love

You will work across multiple projects simultaneously ensuring that there is clear, complete, and accurate documentation, while being responsible for arranging project team meetings, and Steer Co's as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of project plans, RAID, and tracking deliverables for all assigned projects
  • Routinely updating stakeholders through status reports, organising meetings and workshops as well as recording actions, and outcomes
  • Work closely with other members of the project team (including external parties) to ensure on-time, high quality project delivery
  • Support the development of key plans throughout the project lifecycle (including data migration, test and cutover plans - where relevant)
  • Ensure that all workstreams are held accountable to their agreed deliverables
  • Support the development of a project management

What will you bring to the role

The Portfolio PMO will be exceptionally organised and proactive, comfortable with dealing with a range of stakeholders and with an understanding of project governance. The successful candidate will be a team player who is prepared to get involved where necessary to support the project team.

Key previous experience or qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a PMO, or similar involvement in project activity
  • Able to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Experience of working in a global environment
  • Broad understanding of people team, and technology processes desirable
  • PPM qualification (i.e. PRINCE2, P3O, MSP) would be highly advantageous
  • Educated to a degree level, or equivalent experience
