JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Canton, MA (Hybrid)

In this position, you'll be based in the Canton, MA office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. If you have a remote location recorded in Fusion this arrangement will continue to be honored if you are successful in your application, provided that:

Technology is responsible for supporting the business lines with their demand and is part of a cross-functional Agile delivery team which creates customer-oriented solutions aligned to the overall Computershare and Technology strategy and values.

A role you will love
The Head of Development is fully accountable for all aspects of the software development process across a portfolio of applications and supporting frameworks. The role is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the technology that supports and ensures that technical solutions meet business requirements; conform to Computershare's architectural and security standards; and that teams follow Computershare's software development methodology.
The Head of Development for plans is also responsible for people management and leadership of their teams. The role will focus on ensuring that there is a clearly defined progression plan for ambitious and high potential individuals within the team, and ensuring that the team is challenged, motivated and harmonized.
There is a need to balance leadership and management skills with knowledge of technology, tools, policy and procedures, ensuring that they are used effectively. Responsibility starts from early engagement (feasibility and estimates) to establishment and implementation of new or revised applications systems and programs.

  • Some Develop and implement high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives and ensuring a clear road map globally.
  • Lead and motivate a team ensuring all employees clearly understand the strategies and priorities of the business and how their individual role contributes to the business, recruiting, developing and retaining talented people to work in the business unit and, in particular, establishing strong teams which are fairly and fully evaluated
  • Create and effectively manage governance, systems, processes and procedures with appropriate controls in place to minimise risks which could cause significant regulatory, financial or reputational damage.
  • Input and management for the P&L of the Global Development team fro Plans, delivering the desired financial outcomes and metrics of the business.
  • Is responsible for the Audit Findings globally, penetration test findings and sign off on remediation plans.
  • Collaborate with the broader Computershare business units/divisions both globally and locally

  • Experience in a similar role at a similar level and to have experience in an executive capacity
  • Highly experienced inspirational leader of large teams with a proven track record
  • Expert ability to develop profitable strategies and implement vision
  • Experience in using and implementing agile methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Expert business development and negotiation skills
  • Excellent financial acumen and budgetary competence, understanding the drivers impacting the business and levers that can be pulled
  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • Expert ability to drive customer service
  • Expert ability to build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional professionalism and gravitas in dealings with Clients and key industry and market contacts
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
  • Proven risk awareness, ensuring compliance to procedures and regulatory requirements, development of process to minimise risk
  • Knowledge and experience of FCA regulatory environment

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000. This base pay is a national average and may not be applicable to all locations.
