Location: Johannesburg (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with insightful commentary.
  • Oversee financial reporting, audits, and payment control processes.
  • Manage BBBEE compliance and debtor performance.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of financial statements and cash flow forecasts.
  • Present financial risks and reports to the Head of Finance.
  • Drive process improvements and support business units in performance tracking.

What will you bring to the role?

You bring strong financial acumen with a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals and compliance practices. Your analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities enable you to lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting with precision. Proficiency in accounting software, you ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. An ability to communicate effectively across teams, presenting insights with clarity and confidence. You are a proactive self-driven team player; you thrive in dynamic environments and continuously seek process improvements.

Key skills & qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA) (Preferred)
  • 2 years' post-articles experience in a professional services environment
  • Strong financial acumen and solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
  • Proficient in accounting software and compliance-oriented practices
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently
  • Holds a relevant university degree in Accounting or Finance
