We're excited to offer a 9 month fixed term opportunity to join us as an Employee Relations Consultant within our global People function. If you bring strong experience in case management and people policies, this role gives you the chance to make a real impact, partnering with leaders, shaping best practice, and working across multiple business lines as part of our dynamic global team.
A role you will love
As an Employee Relations Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in empowering managers across multiple business units by providing expert employee relations advice and coaching. Managing your assigned cases, you'll guide leaders through people matters with confidence, ensuring policy compliance, consistency, and fair, timely outcomes. You'll enjoy brilliant team exposure, a wide variety of work where no two days are the same, and the chance to learn and grow while collaborating with colleagues across our global team and experiencing global ways of working.
You'll be addressing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including disciplinary actions, grievances, absences and performance management and you'll support our People Managers and employee's, across our UK & Ireland operations. You'll also be seeing through multiple Employee Relations cases from beginning to resolution, you will deliver clear, risk-based advice to managers throughout the process.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing managers with clear, practical support on employee concerns to ensure issues are resolved quickly, effectively, and in line with Computershare policies
- Delivering specialist advice and coaching to managers, promoting alignment and consistency across the organisation
- Escalate high risk or complex cases promptly to the appropriate teams, in line with agreed escalation frameworks
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation across all ER issues within our systems to uphold process integrity and organisational transparency
- Staying up to date with the evolving legal landscape
What will you bring to the role?
We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of People policies and practices, particularly employment law and its regulatory implications, supported by experience operating within the UK and Ireland. Passion, commitment, and a genuine desire to coach and upskill managers are essential, alongside a strong focus on delivering an exceptional level of service.
You will also demonstrate:
- A relevant professional HR qualification
- Extensive experience in Employee Relations case management (essential)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and confidently both verbally and in writing
- Strong ethics and values, with a natural alignment to our culture and ways of working
- A proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships at all levels, demonstrating presence, and effective influencing skills
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance risk with practical business needs
- Confidence working to tight deadlines and consistently meeting or exceeding SLAs
- Highly organised, methodical, and detail oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
