The Deposit Protection Service (DPS), a division of Computershare, manages one of three Tenancy Deposit Protection Schemes across the UK. These government-approved schemes are designed to securely safeguard tenants' deposits in accordance with legal requirements throughout the duration of a tenancy. Operating at a regional level within the division, you'll work closely with teams across the DPS Business, including Operations, Contact Centre Team Leaders, and departments such as Billing, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Financial Crime.

A role you will love

As the Business Support Team Leader, you'll be responsible for overseeing a team of administrators, ensuring their work is completed accurately and within agreed service levels and regulatory timeframes. The role involves both managing and actively supporting the team in their daily tasks, which include handling processes such as Scheme Transfers, Court Orders, bankruptcy-related activities, and Direct Bank Transfer transactions.   • Ensure all tasks are completed in line with internal service levels and regulatory deadlines
  • Support the team by assisting with task completion when needed
  • Oversee the development and growth of team members
  • Accurately report daily work status
  • Handle escalations, delegated cases, and referrals
  • Lead recruitment for the Business Support Team as require
  • Authorise payments and money movements when necessary
  • Supports the department Head and Manager and collaborates with key internal teams

This hybrid role involves 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, with a 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday. Starting salary is £28,000, dependent on experience and interview performance. Candidates must live within an hour's commute of our Bristol office (Bridgewater Road, BS13 8AE).

  • Previous Team Leader experience is essential
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills adapting to a diverse range of audiences
  • Strong understanding of internal procedures relevant to the role
  • Knowledge of the rental industry and Tenancy Deposit Protection (TDP) legislation jurisdictions (preferable)
