The Deposit Protection Service (DPS), a division of Computershare, manages one of three Tenancy Deposit Protection Schemes across the UK. These government-approved schemes are designed to securely safeguard tenants' deposits in accordance with legal requirements throughout the duration of a tenancy. As a Business Support Administrator, you'll play a key regional role within the division, working collaboratively with teams across the DPS business, including Operations, the DPS Contact Centre, Billing, and the Financial Crime Unit.

A role you will love

You'll report directly to the Business Support Team Leader and manage day to day tasks within the Business Support Team, primarily responding to written enquiries from customers, authorities, and colleagues across UK tenancy deposit schemes. You'll also handle internal queries and occasionally support more complex matters, such as Freedom of Information requests, Subject Access Requests, court orders, and Anti Money Laundering queries. While some phone interaction is required, most communication is written.

Alongside managing correspondence, you'll review and process reports and support the management team with delegated tasks, workload management, and project activities. This role provides an excellent entry point into a finance focused organisation with strong long term development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet service level targets and achieve individual productivity and quality assurance metrics
  • Respond to written and verbal queries from clients and colleagues, providing clear, accurate guidance
  • Issue and process customer due diligence documentation and related forms
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all Business Support Team procedures
  • Work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Support wider team objectives and assist colleagues when required
  • Assist the Business Support Team Leader with delegated tasks and administrative support
  • Review team procedures regularly and work with management to improve efficiency and service delivery

Salary, location and hours

This hybrid role involves 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, with a 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday. Starting salary is £24,500, dependent on experience and interview performance. Candidates must live within an hour's commute of our Bristol office (BS13 8AE).
