As part of the Customer Operations Securities Transfer Team within our Hong Kong Operations function, you'll contribute to a critical service that supports shareholders throughout their ownership journey. The team is responsible for processing securities transfer transactions and maintaining accurate shareholder records, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience for our clients.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the end-to-end securities transfer process, ensuring transactions are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed service standards.
  • Manage and resolve complex securities transfer cases, providing guidance and support to the team where required.
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate potential fraud or high-risk transactions in line with risk and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and operational procedures.
  • Act as an escalation point and subject matter expert for challenging corporate transfer cases.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates to procedures, controls, and process documentation.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of shareholder records and transaction data.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, efficiency, and client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support service delivery and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Support, coach, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Degree qualification with experience in operations and team leadership, preferably within the banking, securities, or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate transfer processing, share registry services, transfer agency operations, corporate actions, or corporate account opening.
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions and make sound, risk-based operational decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging with brokers and external parties.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused outcomes.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting the development of team members is highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet service delivery commitments.
