This is a hybrid position primarily based in Calgary, CA. We work with complex oil & gas royalty structures and trust accounts that impact investors and holders. As part of our Oil & Gas Royal Distributions team, you'll play a key role in ensuring that royalties are calculated, allocated, and paid accurately and on time.

A role you will love

As an Account Associate III- Distributions & Reconciliation, you will be responsible for processing royalty income for assigned producers, validating production and royalty data, and ensuring distributions are accurate, complete, and properly documented. In addition, this position will provide backup and assistance in reconciling the department suspense and clearing accounts and performing a variety of accounting and administrative duties. You'll work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, using both automated voucher drops and manual entry in our internal systems, and collaborating with colleagues to meet client and regulatory expectations.

  • 3-4 years accounting or account reconciliation experience in a high paced environment.
  • Oil and gas experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS office Suite, specifically MS Excel.
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a dynamic team.
  • Organized and ability to prioritize.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical to this position.
  • Strong commitment to high level of customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible within a constantly changing environment and willing to embrace continuous improvement to the department
