Senior Researcher, Insights - MX Special Projects
At Collective Health, we’re transforming how employers and their people engage with their health benefits by seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology, compassionate service, and world-class user experience design.
This job post will close at 4:00 PM MST on Friday, February 6th.
This Senior Researcher on the Insights Team at Collective Health is curious, proactive, strategic, and highly collaborative, bringing deep expertise in healthcare, mixed-methods research, and the ability to conduct high-quality research in both English and Spanish. As a highly capable research-doer, this individual will be dedicated to business-critical research projects. These projects range from upstream discovery that inform strategic prioritization efforts, to downstream product evaluation efforts that measure the impact of a new feature or initiative.
Leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methods, their impact is often found outside the bounds of a single research study: they proactively identify and close knowledge gaps, help “connect the dots” between disparate projects, and amplify our members’ voice across the organization in creative and impactful ways. They are joining a team that requires active input and participation from all of its members to get the job done, and participation in these team-wide efforts will be an important part of the role.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact individual contributor role tasked with making the most of the data we have, and generating new data where we need it, around mission-critical business and user challenges. In addition to “doing research” yourself, you’ll lead and partner closely with collaborators from around the organization through the learning journey. Perhaps most importantly, you’ll see insights through to action as they’re applied to product, partnership, operations and other business decisions.
What you'll do:
- Build strong collaborative relationships with researchers, designers, product managers, cx leads, data scientists, data analysts, engineers, clinicians, client- and partner-facing leads, and many others to identify research questions, plan research, do research, and share & apply insights.
- Works with PM, Design, CX, and other stakeholders to identify upcoming research needs across at least one focus area, plot them to a timeline, and communicate these plans up and out. Aligns research project planning with company strategy and priorities, and adjusts as needed.
- Conduct all phases of qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods research (planning, preparation, doing, analysis, sharing insights).
- Plan, conduct, and share-out evaluations of Product-led initiatives in close partnership with Product and Business owners. Leverage existing data and work with PMs, data scientists, analysts, and engineers where necessary to flag new data needs.
- Proactively escalates timing or resource issues that might impact research commitments, or successfully executing against company strategy and priorities. Ensures stakeholders are comfortable and confident in research plans.
- Drive learnings into action, synthesizing and communicating insights throughout the organization (including executive leadership) with clear, compelling deliverables.
- Support other team-wide efforts as needed.
- Support our Insights practice and process development. Look for opportunities to advance “how we research” through your own work, and partner with your research team to improve process, tooling, workflows.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
