The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and execution-oriented Chief of Staff to support the Head of Ex-Japan on the company’s highest-priority initiatives. This role will serve as a strategic partner and operational lead across complex, cross-functional projects that are critical to the organization’s growth and long-term success.

The ideal candidate brings a background in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, or business operations, along with strong project management capabilities and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. This person should be equally comfortable driving executive-level strategic planning discussions and rolling up their sleeves to execute against key business priorities.

Projects may include international expansion initiatives, strategic partnerships, operational transformation efforts, organizational scaling, AI-related initiatives, and other ad hoc priorities as the business evolves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Head of Ex-Japan Business to drive execution against strategic priorities and organizational goals
  • Lead and manage high-impact, cross-functional projects from planning through execution
  • Develop project plans, timelines, stakeholder communications, and executive updates to ensure initiatives remain on track
  • Conduct strategic analysis, financial modeling, market research, and operational assessments to support decision-making
  • Identify operational gaps, risks, and inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations for leadership discussions
  • Coordinate across teams including operations, finance, recruiting, HR, commercial, and leadership functions
  • Help establish structure, accountability, and operational rigor across rapidly evolving initiatives
  • Act as a trusted thought partner on emerging business opportunities and organizational priorities

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, FP&A, business operations, or a similar strategic role
  • Strong project management experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive projects forward without direct authority
  • Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and execution-focused

Preferred Background

  • Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm strongly preferred
  • Experience working in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments is a plus
  • Exposure to international business operations, transformation initiatives, or strategic partnerships is preferred

What Success Looks Like

  • Driving strategic initiatives from concept through execution with minimal oversight
  • Bringing clarity, organization, and momentum to complex business priorities
  • Serving as a force multiplier for leadership by anticipating needs and proactively solving problems
  • Building strong cross-functional relationships and ensuring alignment across teams
  • Helping the organization scale effectively through disciplined execution and strategic thinking
