Intern, Multimodal Operations
This is a full-time summer internship lasting from May 11,2026, until August 28, 2026.
Job Summary
The Intern, Multimodal Operations is responsible forassisting the Multimodal Operations team by gaining an understanding of CN'ssupply chain partners needs through market research, traffic flow and corridoranalysis. The role represents an opportunity to learn about TerminalOperations, and to gain insights into CN's Consumer Products Supply Chain asgoods move across North America from production to final delivery. Theincumbent supports a team whose goal is to grow CN's market share, deepen its strategic position and foster supply chainpartnerships.
Main Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and partner with the Multimodal Operations team, and other members of the leadership team on various projects and initiatives
- Recommend ways to leverage the network and collaborate on growth strategies
- Work closely with other members of the Multimodal Operations business unit to assess opportunities with a view toward continuous improvement
- Interact regularly with Network Operations to ensure projects are developed in a collaborative manner
- Engage in time and motion activities and perform data analysis
- Assist with the creation of presentations on relevant projects
- Generate reports and collaborate in analysis
Requirements
- Initiative to learn about rail, multimodal, and business ventures
- Ability to understand market information and trends as well as apply predictive analytical techniques to opportunities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including databases and Tableau
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle workload efficiently
- Ability to identify key issues that affect CN's supply chain fluidity
- Applies critical thinking, sound judgment, and accountability
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)
Education
- Working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis on Operations, Supply Chain, or an equivalent field
