Job Summary

The Expert, Telecom Services Product Management is responsible for translating business requirements into telecom and network product roadmaps. The incumbent works closely with Business, I&T, Architecture, Operations and Security stakeholders to develop and drive the evolution of CN's telecom and network services. This role ensures that telecom products meet operational, regulatory, cybersecurity, reliability and modernization objectives.

Main Responsibilities

Customer Partnering

• Create trusted relationships with business partners and operations leaders.
• Translate business and operational needs into formal telecom product roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Operations, Security and Delivery teams.
• Manage the lifecycle and evolution pipeline of telecom products.
• Collect high-level business requirements to support portfolio planning.
• Support Business Analysts and Product Owners in requirement definition.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and Integrators on requirement clarity.
• Work with Service Offering Managers on cost, capacity and licensing.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise and solution architecture.
• Review product pipeline with Operations for readiness.
• Lead annual budget, AFE and service health inputs.
• Measure and manage stakeholder satisfaction.

Evolving Product Roadmaps

• Assess emerging telecom and network technologies.
• Facilitate product governance and roadmap approvals.
• Manage product lifecycles including modernization and decommissioning.
• Integrate cybersecurity and risk mitigation into roadmaps.
• Track execution of initiatives against approved roadmaps.
• Align telecom roadmaps with enterprise architecture.

• Engage vendors to influence product evolution.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet requirements.
• Leverage data analytics and automated reporting to monitor network lifecycle status and identify trends and bottlenecks.
• Utilize Machine Learning, AI agents, and automation tools to uncover areas of opportunity and optimize network performance.

Working Conditions

• Standard office working conditions with occasional travel (< 10%) within North America.

Requirements

Experience

• Relevant experience in product management or telecom/network services.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven product management and lifecycle ownership experience.
• Experience with enterprise-scale systems.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements analysis.
• Experience in large, complex organizations.
• Experience overseeing complex deliverables.
• Experience managing dependencies and risks.
• Transportation or critical infrastructure experience is an asset.
• Strong telecom and network services experience.
• Any telecom domain experience is an asset.

Education / Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

• Good data manipulation and analysis skills.
• Experience in Tableau or Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or Google Gemini for AI automation to improve lifecycle management.
