Job Summary

The Crew Hauler is responsible for safely transportingrailroad crews between designated locations, such as yards, hotels, and otheroperational points, using company-provided vehicles (typically SUVs or vans).This role ensures timely and efficient crew movements as directed by TransportationManagers and local Operations teams. Drivers operate within a definedterritory, managing multiple crew transfers throughout the day, and areexpected to report any vehicle issues promptly to the operations team.

Major Responsibilities


  • Transport CN crews and supplies within designated territory
  • Operate CN vehicle within the Jackson, MS region
  • Secure vehicle for transport of CN crews
  • Maintain Driver's Logbook records
  • Ensure that the safety of the employees and public is protected

Working Conditions


  • Able to work and drive in all types of weather conditions year-round
  • Must be able to work overtime to aid in response to critical incidences
  • May be assigned other duties as required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • Minimum 2 year of experience with driving vehicles (as large as vans)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Maintaining reliable attendance
  • Unwavering commitment to rule compliance and safety
  • Must pass the Company's required medical assessment
  • Able to qualify in CN's Driving Tests or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must provide Driver's Abstract Release
  • Must report all past driving violations as well as sign a disclosure agreement stating that they are going to report all driving violations
  • Knowledge of the Jackson Region
    *Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these abovewould be considered as an asset

Training
Upon hiring, the position will receive on-the-job trainingand is required to complete a CN administered defensive driving class. Theincumbent is required to complete the training successfully.
