Role Summary:
The Accounts Payable Manager oversees the day-to-day functions of the Account Payable group and provides overall support to the accounting team and management. The Accounts Payable Manger is responsible for developing and maintaining a best-in-class payables operation and preparing reports to assist management in making strategic and operational decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Provide mentoring and support staff development.
- Think strategically about systems and processes to ensure a best-in-class accounts payable organization.
- Document, implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure an effective system of internal control and compliance is met. Ensure timely update of all policies and procedures.
- Assist in month-end accounting reviews to ensure accuracy of transaction processing.
- Supplier master data management, ensuring industry standards are met for compliance with government agencies. Advanced knowledge of W9/1099 processes and IRS regulations.
- Oversee corporate card accounts as it relates to Travel & Entertainment and P-Card, including team management.
- Develop working relationships with internal departments as it relates to invoice processing, payments and vendor relationships and processes.
- Continuous review of processes to ensure efficient, effective process flow and internal controls.
- Create, design and train business owners on Accounts Payable processes. Onboarding program with training teams on material for publishing and signing off.
- Responsible for maintaining effective communication between both internal and external customers.
- Work closely with partnered financial institutions and Accounts Payable providers for enhancements of services, relationship management and new ventures where applicable.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting preferred
- Workday Financials system knowledge or large ERP experience
- 5+ years of management experience with an understanding of Accounts Payable, Vendor Data and Accounts Payable systems
- Strong business acumen with a high degree of integrity and ethics
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
- Proven relationship management skills with the ability to establish credibility with both internal and external stakeholders
