Role Summary:
The Category Manager - Food & Beverage ("F&B") plays a key role in managing one of Cinemark's strategic F&B product categories, by executing the business strategy that delivers continued category growth while partnering to maintain margins. This role involves developing and executing category strategies, monitoring both global and store level sales trends to execute effective growth strategies, analyzing trend data to better anticipate consumers ever changing behavior, creating high quality relationships with both internal and external partners, and leading cross-functional projects. Additional duties include:
- Design and execute a robust category strategy, for select categories, that aligns with Cinemark's broader business goals and delivers measurable value.
- Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity in all supplier interactions ensuring accountability, service excellence and long-term collaboration.
- Evaluate new products to identify continued growth opportunities within the category.
- Partner with stakeholders to launch new products or processes
- Analyze category performance and create solutions for underperforming products or locations.
- Regular business reviews with key vendors and partners.
- Collaborate with leaders to establish short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Assists and leads in the continued development and implementation of the company's procurement vision and strategy.
- Partner with operations to uphold modern selling strategies and techniques.
- Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development and training courses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
- At least 7 years of experience in category management with extensive focus on F&B-related categories.
- Strong communication and presentation skills as a category expert with capability to influence a wide range of groups and individuals to actively support a point of view or position. Demonstrates ability to secure "buy-in" of others who may hold a contrary view.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- Strong history of cross-functional collaboration that demonstrates a capability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
- Proven ability to operate strategically and tactically in a dynamic environment.
- Proven leadership skills with a history of managing and developing talent.
- Must be an innovative problem solver.
- Advanced experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI or equivelant) is required.
- Ability to travel up to 8%

- Empathy and Emotional Intelligence: High emotional intelligence, with the ability to understand and manage one's own emotions, as well as recognize and influence the emotions of others within the organization. The right individual will also focus on development and continued education of themselves and any direct reports they may have.
- Results-Oriented: Focused on achieving results, with a clear emphasis on performance metrics and outcomes. The Category Manager should set high standards for performance and drive the category activities towards achieving its strategic goals.
- Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple strategic and tactical initiatives with internal and external teams. The Category Manager should be able to write effective project plans and meeting recaps. In this role managing not only project deadlines but having the ability to respond to emails efficiently and effectively is a key to success.
