Overview

Local Marketing is a powerful extension of Chick fil A's local ownership model and a key enabler of sales and brand growth for Operators. Providing clear direction, best practices, and practical resources is essential to supporting Operators to leverage Local Marketing to differentiate their businesses and deepen community connection.

The Sr. Program Lead, Local Marketing Field Engagement leads engagement with Operators and Restaurant Marketing Directors (RMDs), ensuring that the tools, resources, and communications created by Chick fil A, Inc. are relevant, actionable, and easy to implement at the restaurant level. Serving as a trusted field partner and brand ambassador, this role ensures local marketing efforts align with broader marketing strategies and deliver meaningful impact.

This role is ideal for a high-empathy marketer who loves engaging with the field and can translate corporate strategy into compelling, actionable marketing tactics that will support restaurants win at the local level.

Responsibilities

Local Marketing Tactical Translator: Translate national marketing strategies and campaigns into clear, actionable tactics for restaurant level and local execution. Partner with local marketing counterparts to adapt strategies for local relevance and elevate best in class ideas from the field to inform enterprise strategy, tools, and resources.

RMD Evangelization & Equipping: Serve as a passionate ambassador for Emotional Connections Marketing (ECM) to the field. Partner with Field Learning to equip Restaurant Marketing Directors with the resources and training needed to accelerate brand onboarding and strengthen local marketing acumen. Ensure local teams have access to-and are actively using-approved marketing assets to drive effective execution.

Field Facing Event Coordinator: Lead the planning and execution of select field facing events that build local marketing capabilities for Operators and Restaurant Marketing Directors. Serve as the central point of ownership for event strategy and delivery-coordinating cross functional partners, managing timelines, and ensuring seamless execution while effectively aligning with senior leaders.

KEY WORKSTREAMS

  • RMD Resources: Partner with Field Learning to create RMD resources to accelerate brand onboarding and support RMD marketing acumen into new and existing forums
  • Monthly Marketing Call: serve as lead planner and host for monthly RMD marketing call
  • SPARK Planning: support team in the planning for bi-annual SPARK RMD marketing conference + off-year SPARK regional events
  • AST Activations: serve as local marketing SME and lead enablement for AST-level local marketing activations
  • Marketing Newsletter: manage development and deployment of regular local marketing field communication (audience: Operators and RMDs)
  • Virtual RMD Collective: Serve as point person for third party vendor managing online RMD community. Develop plan for on-going engagement

External: RMDs, Operators, vendors, and agencies

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strategic Thinking with Empathy: Ability to translate high level marketing strategy into simple, actionable local execution-anticipating user needs, reducing complexity, and identifying integration opportunities that make work easier for Operators and RMDs.
  • Program & Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex, cross functional initiatives from planning through execution. Brings strong prioritization, high workload capacity, and sound judgment to make strategic trade offs without sacrificing clarity or quality.
  • Influential Communication & Presence: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders. Highly comfortable presenting to large audiences, with strong, compelling onscreen presence and the ability to think clearly and calmly in the moment.
  • Adaptability & Problem Solving: Navigates ambiguity with confidence, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and creatively solves complex challenges-always with a focus on simplifying the experience for the end user.
  • Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of the full marketing ecosystem, including digital, social, traditional, and PR channels, as well as local market dynamics and restaurant level realities.
