Principal Team Leader, Campus Services
Overview
The Campus Planning & Operations (CPO) team at Chick-fil-A is dedicated to creating environments and experiences that enrich the lives of Operators, Staff, and guests. This position plays a key role in exemplifying operational excellence and 2nd mile service at our US Support Centers by overseeing campus food services, simulator support and campus quality control. This Campus Operations People Leader manages an internal team dedicated to supporting all who utilize our on-campus restaurant simulators and labs, the campus Quality Control and Assurance Specialist and outsourced teams who provide lunch service and breakroom support. Given the high impact of these operations, ensuring safety is paramount. CPO is a support focused department; a sense of urgency and a "Here to Serve" mentality is critical for success.

Responsibilities
- Assists with or lead food service strategy to ensure safety, efficiency, and service quality across all campuses, creating an exceptional environment and experience for all Operators, Staff, and guests on campus.
- Develop, lead and encourage all reporting staff, including biannual performance reviews, goal setting and development conversations.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure safety, efficiency, and service and operational quality across all campus services.
- Oversee the QA&C Specialist's work to ensure consistent quality standards across all campus environments.
- Serve as the escalation point to resolve issues quickly, uphold service quality, and drive continuous improvements across all simulator environments.
- Collaborate with partners across the Business and CFA entities to identify opportunities for improvement (food safety, menu development, facilities, procurement etc.) and 2nd Mile service (Cathy Family Office, Executive Committee, etc.).
- Assists with or leads the selection and oversight (including assistance with financial and/or budgetary management) of outside partners and professionals to effectively deliver outcomes and results.
- Provide financial direction, planning and invoice management.
- Maintain all areas in accordance with food safety standards. (5 separate locations)
- Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A operational and production standards.
- Align operations to meet Departmental and Business goals/direction.
- Embrace a "Pursue What's Next" mindset by staying relevant of industry standards, best practices, latest news/trends/technology, innovation of all work/fields overseen.
- Demonstrate stewardship in managing food waste.
- Track and report metrics/KPIs and relevant data points to maintain a pulse on operational excellence and 2nd Mile service (team and vendor performance, quality audits, spend, waste, Shared Table donations, customer feedback, etc.)
- Provide weekly attendance through badge data, visitor data, Operator attendance, and outside catering numbers.
- Serve as a liaison to our partners at Thrive coffee who operate a for-profit coffee counter on campus.
- Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as necessary, contributing to the growth of both Chick-fil-A and the individual employee.
- Be on campus 4-5 days a week to maintain hands-on management, hospitality and oversight.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience
- Professional communication (verbal and digital), interpersonal, organizational, and teamworking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Servant-hearted approach with a positive attitude and high sense of urgency.
- Attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
- Provide constructive feedback to internal and external team
- Physical ability to lift at least 40 lbs. and remain on feet for extended periods.
- Forward thinking, proactive, takes initiative.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality and Food Management or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired
- 10+ years of experience
- ServSafe or similar credentials
- Experience working within a Chick-fil-A store
- Experience working with Health Department for regular inspections
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance
