Lead Insights Analyst, Financial Services
Overview
The Labor & Incremental Profit Opportunity ("IPO") Lead Insights Analyst is responsible for maintaining a high degree of analytical competence as they partner with product leads, analytics engineers, business partners, and field staff to discover, test, and deliver insights to Restaurants that drive better decisions. The individual in this role will be responsible for leading the advanced analytics for Restaurant profit opportunity and labor benchmarking and enhancing the suite of reporting insights for Operators.
This role will develop and maintain a high level of subject matter expertise for labor and profit opportunity data, benchmarking and reporting products for Restaurants. Using their comprehensive knowledge, this role will be the point of contact for Restaurant/Operator and staff questions on use of the data and reporting. He or she will also be responsible for recommending and deploying changes based on Operator feedback to data systems. The person in this role will develop comprehensive knowledge and serving as a subject matter expert on IPO and talent investment reporting across multiple platforms, being a business owner for IPO, talent and labor data and maintaining and improving related data and processes. This person will serve as a business data steward for certain data sets.
They will have responsibility for both proactive and responsive analysis, data validation, project planning, executing project details, communicating with stakeholders and collaboration with colleagues. They will also have the opportunity to recommend or pursue enhancement to current models, in areas such as machine learning or AI.
Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert in Restaurant IPO and labor data, tools, reporting and systems that consume the data, and leadership over communication and delivery of insights from data and reporting
- Work with analytical programs and refine business rules to generate advanced insights of benchmark models for restaurant users
- Work with technical partners to solve complex data and reporting problems and define new metrics or analytical methodologies to meet evolving business needs.
- Participate and at times lead larger Restaurant and Field-Staff facing projects by recommending and deploying changes, creating, and ensuring execution of the project plan, recommending necessary changes to budget or resources, communicating key details and escalating issues and risks, and responding to questions
- Participate in cross functional groups maintaining enterprise IPO & Labor Roadmaps; Make recommendations and influence future data, system, reporting needs to be included in roadmap.
- Meet regularly with stakeholders to ensure alignment and input on decision making for the products
- Communicate project benefits, progress and updates to a variety of audiences via written, visual and verbal presentations
- From time to time participate or co-lead innovation/ideation sessions to consider all options and seek diverse feedback into future changes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving experience
- Strong understanding of data systems and structures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with SQL, databricks, or another data transformation tool
- Proficiency with Github & dbt
- Experience with machine learning/data science modeling
- Experience with Tableau or another data visualization tool
- Experience building automated and scalable analytical solutions
- Strong systems-thinking mindset, able to understand intricate details and how they relate to each other in the broader scope of a system
- Attention to details, high sense of responsibility and accuracy
- Self-Starter; proactively seeking solutions
- Excellent interpersonal relational skills and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams and independently
- Ability to manage multiple and varying tasks, processes and/or projects while being able to appropriately prioritize work
Preferred Qualifications
- Analytical and Reporting Product Ownership experience
- Experience leading process change Initiatives and/or systems implementations
- Proficiency with Python
- Experience working with data infrastructure and business systems across separate business entities
- Chick-fil-A Restaurant experience or experience with restaurant operations
- Experience in Labor metrics and data
