PI Planning, Retro, Sprint organization, Backlog grooming

Key Responsibilities:

The Scrum Master is a leader and coach responsible for enabling one or more Agile teams to deliver business and customer value effectively. This role supports teams in applying Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement to achieve high performance, predictability, and transparency. The Scrum Master acts as a change agent, facilitator, and impediment remover while fostering collaboration between team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Agile Team Facilitation & Coaching

  • Coach teams on Agile values, principles, and practices (Scrum and/or Kanban).
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Promote self-organization, cross functionality, and accountability within teams.

Impediment Removal & Flow Optimization

  • Identify, track, and help remove impediments that limit team progress or delivery.
  • Protect the team from external disruptions and unplanned work.
  • Continuously improve team flow, predictability, and delivery outcomes.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Foster strong collaboration between team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution within and across teams.
  • Support dependency management and cross team coordination as needed.

Metrics, Transparency & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and communicate team health, progress, and performance using Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, flow, sprint goals).
  • Ensure Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Rally, etc.) accurately reflect team work and priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, experimentation, and data driven insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting teams at different maturity levels, including newly formed teams.
  • Experience working in large, complex, or regulated enterprise environments.
  • SAFe, Kanban, or advanced Agile coaching certifications.
  • Ability to use metrics and insights to guide team and organizational improvement.
