Organization / Role Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to be part of Self-Service Analytics Platform team where you will own the reliability and evolution of our home grown self service platform that enables business teams to build and run analytics with minimal friction. As part of this role, you will keep the environment healthy on Linux, diagnose and fix defects, and partner with Architecture to plan platform changes, add ons, and upgrades. A core focus is a critical modernization, migrating the workloads from the current legacy platform to a modernized solution, Farnam, while de centralizing analytics to business units and strengthening day to day operational support. The work is highly visible and cross functional, with broad exposure to Java, Python, C#/ .NET, Control M, BigQuery, and SQL

What you have
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own platform health and reliability for the self service environment: monitor/triage, root cause and resolve issues, and perform installation, upgrades, and application support on Linux.
2. Lead the modernization effort to migrate Batch Framework workloads to Farnam; ensure robust operational support for Batch Framework during transition and partner with scheduling/orchestration stakeholders (e.g., Control M) to bridge metadata and process gaps.
3. Onboard new user groups and partner with Architecture on environment changes, add on usage, and upgrades; implement security best practices for batch usage, version control, code migration, UNIX scripting, logging, and release procedures.
4. Drive operational excellence by evaluating and implementing utilities and automation that increase platform/process efficiency and reduce support toil; measure and communicate improvements. Ensure disaster recovery and resilience strategies are defined, tested, and continuously improved for mission-critical data platforms and services.
5. Build with a rigorous, multi language toolbox-Java, Python, C#/ .NET (and .NET APIs), Control M, BigQuery, and SQL to enhance the platform's developer experience and scalability for federated analytics teams.

• Applies best practices to build, test, and validate software components while resolving issues
• Consolidates software changes into secure, stable releases using best practices
• Ensures systems align with cloud architectures using modern design methodologies
Skills and Attributes:
• Strong background in performance optimization, application reliability, and incident resolution.
• Partnering with development and platform/prod support teams to identify and resolve deployment issues
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and with cross-functional technical and business teams
• Familiarity with automation and operational tooling to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
