Role Description
This role sits within Technology Services and Support and is responsible for operational readiness, reliability, availability, and production stability of mission-critical applications. The Site Reliability Engineer serves as a senior technical and operational leader for infrastructure coordination, SRE practice adoption, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
What you have
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end production readiness and operational health for critical move money applications.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and recovery efforts while supporting low MTTR, SLA adherence, and minimal client impact.
- Drive SRE practices, including post-incident reviews, SLO definition, alert tuning, noise reduction, and metrics.
- Coordinate infrastructure activities including server upgrades, certificate and password rotations, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Ensure regulatory, audit, security, PCI, and data protection compliance.
- Drive automation to reduce manual toil, improve compliance, and increase operational efficiency.
- Act as technical interface with business partners, application teams, infrastructure, security, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of enterprise-level administration and support experience.
- 5+ years of automation scripting, dashboard creation for proactive monitoring, and alert setup.
- 5+ years practicing SDLC and process improvements.
- Hands-on enterprise systems administration, monitoring, and deployment experience.
- Experience with Windows 2019/2022 and Linux VM-hosted environments.
- Cloud application configuration, deployment, support, and migration; GCP/PCF is a plus.
- Knowledge of IP networking, high-availability architecture, Windows/Linux administration, .NET, PowerShell, Java, Python, Bash, SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Actimize, message brokers, Splunk/AppDynamics, and related tools.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale mission-critical platforms in financial services or regulated industries.
- Experience implementing or scaling SRE practices in enterprise environments.
- Strong background in production operations, incident management, and availability engineering.
- Experience coordinating infrastructure initiatives such as upgrades, security remediation, disaster recovery, and compliance.
- Ability to lead through influence across offshore teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
- Familiarity with audit, regulatory, PCI, and security requirements and strong SOP/documentation discipline.
