Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and corresponding technical requirements used throughout the development process.
  • Develop Functional Specifications and system context diagrams as required.
  • Drive significant enhancements and streamlining of our processes and introduction of new technologies to bring more flexible products to market quickly.
  • Use case requirements to drive the design.
  • Review of test cases.
  • Build mock-ups or wireframes diagrams for new UIs.
  • Process change requests and open JIRAs.
  • Track and manage a project's scope, development, testing and deployment.
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.
  • Help implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way.
  • Build key relationships with stakeholders and communicates with partners.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Facilitate effective project requirement discovery meetings while exhibiting confidence and extensive knowledge of business requirements and emerging technology best practices.
  • Partner with business organizations (e.g. Client Reporting, Customer Tax, Cost Basis) to ensure expectations are met and acting as a liaison between business and technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure projects are progressing according to plan by resolving issues or obstacles.
  • Ability to identify issues/risks and effectively communicate them to management.
  • Extract, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, develop actionable recommendations, and present findings through compelling visualizations and executive-ready reports that drive strategic business decisions.
  • Ability to manage and communicate production issues - clearly documenting the problem, cause and identifying a resolution, or managing team collaboration to identify a resolution.

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • 4 Year college degree.
  • 5 years minimum of business analysis, product manager or similar role.
  • 3 years of financial services industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a highly motivated technical professional.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with business and technical teams to understand requirements, impact analysis.
  • Impact Analysis experience with data changes in upstream/downstream systems.
  • Project management experience/knowledge, with ability to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to anticipate project risks/issues and propose creative solutions.
  • Solid experience with SDLC and solid understanding of Waterfall and Agile Methods.
  • Prior experience/familiarity with interfacing with QA and production support.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision- making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Cost Basis and Tax regulations/reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio Drawing tool along with general familiarity with Outlook, Visual
  • Studio and other MS Office applications is also required.
  • Ability to write queries for extracting data/creating reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with creating mock-ups or wireframes diagrams.
