Role Description

The Salesforce Development Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, design, and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions that support key business capabilities across Sales, Service, and other enterprise functions. This role serves as both a technical and functional leader, driving platform optimization, enabling business teams, and ensuring Salesforce is leveraged as a strategic growth engine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage competing priorities, workloads, and activities to achieve multiple project objectives and ensure systems are defect free and meet end-user requirements.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with project sponsors, product teams, and key systems users.
  • Stay current on software development techniques and drive improvements in support of application development efforts.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Plan and manage forecasts, projects, and staffing requirements.
  • Ensure service delivery meets agreed service levels and diagnose service delivery problems.
  • Lead hiring, promotion, performance evaluation, training, motivation, counseling, and discipline of employees.
  • Foster collaborative cross-functional partnerships across technology and business teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 15 years of experience with 5 years of salesforce development with 10 years experience in people management.
  • Deep hands-on fluency in Salesforce Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Understanding advanced cloud products such as OmniStudio, Marketing Cloud, or Financial Services Cloud.
  • Ability to design complex custom data models, manage sharing/visibility rules, and scale large data volumes.
  • Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and event-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms such as MuleSoft and Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency integrating and directing AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor in developer workflows.
  • Ability to evaluate code for correctness, scalability, and security, coach developers, and unblock complex issues.
  • Minimum 3 years managing financial domain application development teams and teams through the technology lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple offshore, nearshore, and local teams.
  • Experience supporting complex systems with significant integration points and external third-party systems through APIs.
  • Experience managing systems in hybrid premise and SaaS environments.
  • Delivery experience with traditional and Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience with change management, incident management, root cause analysis, Rally, and Confluence.
  • Discipline to champion a low-code/no-code first approach.
