The Financial Planning team within Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) Technology builds the platform and experiences that help clients plan for their financial futures. Our platform is at the center of both rep-led and self-directed client experiences geared toward creating a lifelong relationship with the clients that meets them at every point of their financial journey.

In this role, you'll manage 1-2 application development teams focused on evolving and extending the planning platform to bring new features and enhancements to our clients. As the manager of a growing team, you'll recruit and hire your staff. You will support your team through software delivery within our scaled Agile framework and partner across development teams to support full feature delivery. Relying on your experience in setting technical direction and motivating teams, you'll develop your staff's talent, support them in their careers, and delivery high quality software that can scale to meet clients' needs.

What you have

▪ Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
▪ 4+ years of experience in technology leadership, guiding decision making and delivery
▪ Direct people leadership experience in IT (team members report directly to you)
▪ Effective relationship builder; ability to partner cross-functionality, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization
▪ Expertise in implementing and coaching others in JavaScript, Angular, Java, SpringBoot, and .Net development
▪ Extensive experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks
▪ Ability to execute at scale in a dynamic environment, build strong relationships and promote collaboration, identify talent, recruit, hire, coach, mentor and build high performing technical teams; experience setting direction, tracking progress, and ensuring accountability.
▪ Technical professional experience building scalable enterprise applications with high availability and reliability. Strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail and the ability to design, execute against strategic goals.
▪ Ability to independently work as a contributing member in a fast-paced environment across multiple time zones and locations
▪ Understanding of SCRUM and Agile principles
▪ Demonstrated ability to perform managerial responsibilities as outlined

Preferred Qualifications:

▪ Financial Services experience is a strong plus
▪ Strong, varied background in multiple tech stacks - Java, Spring, .NET, Maven, Gradle, C#, Angular

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
