Schwab Data's AI Strategy & Governance organization is accelerating responsible AI adoption across the enterprise by helping teams move from experimentation to scalable, reusable AI capabilities. As a Product Manager supporting AI Data Strategy, Product & Governance, you will play a critical role in shaping and advancing Schwab's AI maturity through the development of data strategies, governance frameworks, certification processes, and AI-enabling products and capabilities. Working at the intersection of AI, data management, governance, technology, and business strategy, you will collaborate across business, technology, risk, compliance, privacy, and data teams to drive enterprise-wide outcomes.

In this role, you will help define and execute AI data strategies that improve data discoverability, accessibility, quality, transparency, and reuse. You will contribute to governance and certification initiatives that ensure AI data is trustworthy, compliant, and fit for purpose while enabling innovation at scale. You will partner with stakeholders to develop and enhance reusable AI capabilities, operational frameworks, roadmaps, standards, and governance processes that improve consistency and accelerate enterprise adoption. Additionally, you will support the evolution of AI-ready data ecosystems by advancing metadata management, data lineage visibility, stewardship practices, and lifecycle management standards. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving capabilities, strategic thinking, technical acumen, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders to deliver meaningful business outcomes in a complex and evolving AI landscape.

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data, analytics, artificial intelligence, technology, governance, product management, or related leadership disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale initiatives involving data, AI, governance, technology transformation, or product delivery.
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, generative AI, machine learning concepts, and unstructured data along with the associated data requirements that enable successful AI outcomes.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, data lineage, data quality, privacy, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience leading highly complex cross-functional programs across business and technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into structured strategies, roadmaps, operating models, and execution plans.
  • Strong written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions, build alignment, and drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Ability to balance innovation, governance, scalability, and business value while operating in a fast-changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting AI, generative AI, data management, governance, or platform initiatives within regulated financial services organizations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise metadata management, data cataloging, observability, lineage, and data quality platforms.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data and AI technologies such as GCP, BigQuery, Dataplex, Vertex AI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with AI development lifecycle practices, model governance, or related governance processes.
  • Experience creating reusable data products, enterprise standards, frameworks, accelerators, or operating models.
  • Advanced degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Business, or a related field.

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
