Senior Manager - Technology Leader - Corporate Systems

This role will be part of the Treasury Technology team leading the Schwab India employees. In the next two years the plan is to build out three new Schwab India Treasury Technology teams totaling 15 employees which this role will lead. Treasury Technology owns 30 applications both in house developed and vendor providing capabilities across all Treasury Business areas including:
- Treasury Capital Markets: managing hundreds of billions of dollars of on balance sheet assets responsible for more than half of Schwab's revenue
- Securities Lending: generating hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue through client facing and street facing capabilities
- Cash Management: moving trillions of dollars annually through the systems
- Liquidity Management: monitoring, forecasting and balancing Schwab's cash flows
- Build, Hire and lead the Schwab India instance of Treasury Technology development teams
- Directly manage teams of Developers (Java & C#), Business Systems Analysts and Sr Managers.
- Accountable for the delivery, quality and maintenance of work assigned to Schwab India.
- Partnering with onshore development leads, product owners and production support in designing new, and maintaining existing Treasury Applications
- Provide timelines and roadmaps for the Schwab India teams' backlogs
- Provide Career Coaching and Development for employees on the team
- Provide Level 3 production support as developer SMEs
What you have
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years leading development delivery teams in Java &/C#
- Demonstrated experience leading large, complex and cross functional projects, with a track record of delivering well-documented requirements and emphasis on systems, technologies, business process redesign including knowledge of the business and technology environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organization, and influencing skills
- Strong knowledge of the financial services industry to be able to understand the complexities of the business requirements
- Excellent relationship management and mediation skills, with a knack for weighing multiple stakeholder perspectives and driving timely and effective decision-making
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong customer focus with a sense of ownership and determination to drive solutions in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud native architecture, containerization and microservices
- Understanding of cybersecurity topics and implications
- Experience with SQL and databases
- Familiarity with testing methodologies and test automation
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and / or experience with tooling such as GitHub Actions
- Experience leading developers using AI tooling e.g. GitHub Copilot
