Schwab is seeking a dynamic Angular UI and Java Lead Engineer with a passion for technology and excellence.

The position involves a balanced mix of design, leadership, and hands-on coding, focused on our mission-critical Authentication platform. This role requires a consistent track record in leading a development team and ensuring that software products are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

In this role as an individual contributor, you will be:

  • You will be required to do hands-on coding and mentorship for junior members of the team
  • Leading daily activities, promoting Agile practices, and coordinating with key collaborators to meet project deadlines and budget
  • Estimating development sizing and costs and collaborating with the Scrum Master and product owner for efficient task prioritization
  • Ensuring quality through automated testing and TDD and integrating SSO to interconnect various internal and external systems
  • Driving release process improvements, assisting the Scrum Master with team needs, and synchronizing team efforts for seamless product releases
  • Proactively identifying risks, establishing mitigation plans, and maintaining documentation and code quality standards
  • Engaging with both onshore and offshore teams to refine development practices

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, related degree field OR related practical experience
  • 8-10+ years of experience in designing and deploying enterprise applications with Java/J2EE, and Angular environments
  • 10+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years as Lead and/or Architect
  • 2-3+ years of experience with MongoDB, SAML, OAuth, REST Web Services, Kafka and transaction processing environments
  • 8-10+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Agile principles, object-oriented analysis, design patterns, and server-side application development
  • Autonomous, creative, and efficient problem-solver
  • Excellent understanding of current Architecture and Development Standards
  • Adept at mentoring and directing junior team members
