We are looking for a QA / SDET Engineer who is passionate about technology and the experiences it can create to join our Schwab Bank development team. This is an opportunity to work on an innovative banking platform that is building reliable, scalable, and advanced solutions to help our clients take ownership of their financial futures. You'll support complex software design tasks in an agile environment while collaborating across user experience, business, and technology partners. - Test developed solutions as part of an Agile Scrum team actively developing large scale software using Java.
- Support and triage issues and participate in production support to help deliver resilient and secure systems to prevent issues that impact on our clients.
- Implement test automation to enable repeated test and quality assurance capabilities
- Work closely with Software Engineers and Product Mangers, and others in an agile environment
- Leverage understanding of software development testing principles and practices to help mentor and coach junior team members.
- Utilize test automation frameworks to enable the delivery of quality software products to Schwab customers
What you have
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology OR related degree and practical experience
- 5+ years as a Quality Assurance Engineer and/or SDET (Software Development Engineering in Test)
- 3+ years using frameworks like TDD (Test Driven Development), DDF (Data-Driver Framework), or Modular-Based Framework
- 3+ years hands-on experience using Testing Tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman
- 3+ years building testing and test data automation, providing automated services for inclusion in deployment pipelines
- 3+ years testing REST and SOAP APIs built with Java, .NET
- 3+ years using SQL databases, automating testing using SQL databases, and creating testing data in SQL databases
- Extensive experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Significant experience mentoring more junior quality engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or related degree
- Experience leveraging AI to transform how testing and quality assurance is performed within a software team with concreate examples of use cases implemented
- Experience working on Banking or FinTech platforms
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience in a Agile working environment
- Experience working within one or more scaled Agile framework (SAFe, LeSS, etc.)
- Ability to operate independently with respect to your assigned work
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity
