STS Portfolio & Project Management partners with business and technology leaders to deliver high-impact initiatives. The Portfolio Lead supports portfolio leadership while managing complex programs and projects that drive strategic change across the enterprise.
What you have
The Portfolio Lead manages complex projects and partners with the Portfolio Manager on portfolio operations, including leadership communications, intake and flow, strategic request management, CPMO compliance, PM backfill coverage, and coaching PMs.
Required Qualifications
▪ Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of project management work experience including at least three years within the financial services industry
▪ 1 year + of Schwab domain experience gained as a current or recent contractor or employee
▪ Proven success managing multi-million dollar, cross-enterprise, strategic, high visibility projects including managing a concurrent portfolio of projects of at least $50M
▪ Experience doing analytics, strong with Excel (e.g., financials, running scenarios with capacity, etc.), and hands-on experience with Power Query
▪ Process design/management (e.g., intake, portfolio-level reporting coordination, etc.)
▪ Strong documentation skills (e.g., process documentation for standardization)
▪ Strong communication skills (e.g., fill in for Portfolio Manager in executive-level meetings) including experience presenting to senior vice president level executives.
▪ Strong relationship management skills (e.g., serve as an extension of the Portfolio Manager to influence others in support of the portfolio's objectives) up to senior vice president level
▪ Exposure to Rally for leadership-level views and monitoring alignment with portfolio standards.
▪ Experience mentoring others
▪ Experience working in a team that leverages Scaled Agile
▪ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
