The Trading Platform Strategy and Support team is responsible for facilitating the modernization of Schwab's trading platform and for maintaining the viability of Schwab's trading systems. The team also applies its business and technical expertise to ensure the integrity of the Schwab Trading platform by participating in design, test and certification activities. We are currently offering the opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team.

  • Function as a Business Analyst within the Schwab trading systems Platform Support team supporting the Trading Tools and Regulatory Reporting Product owners.
  • Take a detail-oriented approach to requirements gathering while challenging business partners to improve a process and eliminate waste
  • Work with multiple business and technology stakeholders to understand project requirements and their cross functional impact
  • Act as a platform owner, creating and executing a vision that builds capabilities aligned with business strategy
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and on-boarding guidance to multiple Business Analysts across projects as they compile detailed requirements across projects
  • Be a decision driver when working with the business in creating efficient, scalable workflow management systems
  • Orchestrate cross functional dependencies, risks and ensure successful delivery of multi-year programs
  • Document, review and moderate Stories for projects while providing a critical eye to the content, presentation and level of detail
  • Participate in QA and UAT sessions to ensure adherence to requirements and usability

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience gathering, documenting, and managing requirements for complex cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • 3+ years of securities industry experience with demonstrated knowledge of equities, options, mutual funds, and fixed income products.
  • 3+ years of experience leading requirements and stakeholder coordination efforts across business and technology teams in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to quickly analyze and comprehend complex, cross platform business needs and translate them into solutions
  • Ability to quickly learn complex new systems and identify areas of risk and dependencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to accurately document and review complex cross-functional business flows
  • A Self-starter who is highly functional in a multi-location environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decisions and resolve conflicts
  • Financial and/or trading background is preferred
  • Strong working experience in Scrum methodologies with detailed insight into Agile processes and ceremonies
  • Prior working knowledge of JIRA or any related Scrum tools

In addition the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
