C Sharp/.Net Platform Engineer
Pay range: USD $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 / Year

Schwab Retirement Technologies (SRT) develops and maintains a broad set of retirement applications utilized by the Third Party Administrator (TPA) retirement services industry. Our team is seeking a Software Development & Platform Engineer with a passion for supporting and enabling development teams. Our mission is to build, maintain, and modernize our robust set of solutions.
What you'll do:
As a Software & Platform Engineer, you will need to be a self-starter who partners well with others and engages with multiple teams to achieve technical success. You'll be a Tech Lead working with a small team to identify and address opportunities to support all agile teams for SRT. In this role you will:
- Be a liaison to our Service Availability Engineering team to include such responsibilities as CI/CD process evolution and issue management, and improvements to observability, monitoring, and alerting.
- You will own and maintain a web application called OpsHub that provides access to multiple internal applications.
- You will own the intake, coordination, and tracking of all Schwab related security programs to include: Veracode, Penetration Testing, DAST, Blackduck, etc.
- Analyze and potentially resolve new technical initiatives.
- Monitor and maintain system and software currency.
- Strategy to implement Launch Darkly, Redis, Event Based Architecture
- Performance environment build out
- Provide input and support to agile team Automation Engineers.
- May provide development support for project initiatives.
What you have
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development building enterprise software using Microsoft technology stack: .Net framework, .Net Core - C#, SQL.
- 5+ years' leadership skills
- Windows deployment/application experience
- Knowledge of authorization frameworks (e.g., OAuth 2, SAML, JWT)
- Familiarity with Angular, TypeScript, and other UI technologies
- Advanced knowledge of Splunk or related platforms
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment experience using modern tools (Bamboo, GitHub, or others)
- Experience developing RESTful Web APIs in Microsoft .NET
- Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in the Retirement or Financial Services industries
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
