Position Summary
The Integration Engineer at CNM assists in the seamless integration of various software and hardware components within a complex technology ecosystem. This role requires a solid understanding of software integration and deployment strategies for IT services in higher education. The Integration Engineer oversees the interoperability between applications, platforms, and systems and they are responsible for bridging the gaps that were created as a result of technological developments that occurred over time, the on-going integration needs of the organization, and the implementation of new systems and platforms into the organization technical ecosystem.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and system architects to integrate components into unified systems or networks.
  • Develop and implement APIs for diverse software applications and services, ensuring compatibility and efficient communication.
  • Design and execute integration tests to verify functionality, reliability, and performance, troubleshooting any issues.
  • Manage configuration files and parameters for proper integration and interoperability.
  • Create detailed documentation including integration plans, technical specifications, and user guides.
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing system performance through integration improvements or upgrades.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand integration requirements and address concerns.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in integration engineering.
  • Ensure integration project tasks are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Support scoping, estimating, and planning of integration tasks with Architect, Product Owner, and Project Manager.
  • Offer perspectives on integration design patterns, concepts, and best practices.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology standards.
  • Integrate devices with third-party applications, devices, and services.
  • Perform product code changes required for integration efforts.
  • Develop and document APIs and protocols for interfacing with external systems.
  • Provide understanding of application interfaces to team members.
  • Comply with published standards and technical documentation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Higher
  • And
  • Three (3) to (5) years of related experience
  • OR
  • A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements of the position

Preferences:

  • Degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering are preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise designing, implementing, and supporting innovative Enterprise integration solutions and meeting business requirements.
  • Ability and skill working with integration platforms such as Mulesoft, Jitterbit, or Boomi.
  • Proven experience with API design and protocols
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#
