Today, PistonHeads is part of CarGurus, combining our community roots and editorial heritage with the latest marketplace technology to create a smarter, more connected platform for auto enthusiasts across the UK and beyond.

Over the past year, we've launched a brand-new rapidly growing premium car app in the UK, expanded our Auctions platform, and modernised our tech stack to create a smarter, more connected experience for millions of car lovers.

We're actively looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive the next phase of growth, helping lead initiatives that boost app and marketplace engagement, scale our auction platform, and drive new experiences across our forum products. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Data teams to deliver impactful, user-focused products that accelerate business growth and delight our community.

What you'll do

  • Drive app growth and engagement for the PistonHeads App - a transformational new step for our brand and users.
  • Own the lead generation and conversion funnel across our marketplace, improving lead quality and attribution through structured A/B testing.
  • Shape and scale the seller experience across Auctions and Classifieds, optimising for trust, transparency, and revenue impact.
  • Enhance content discovery and engagement, improving the PH News and Editorial, app navigation, and new features like trending content and notifications.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, analyse results, and prioritise work that delivers measurable impact to users and the business.

What you'll bring

  • 5-7+ years of experience in product management, ideally within a growth, new product launches, or marketplace environment.
  • Track record of delivering data-driven improvements that move the needle on engagement, conversion, and revenue.
  • Confident working with technical systems and comfortable translating complexity into clear user value and engineering guidance.
  • Experience leading cross-functional squads, aligning stakeholders around clear outcomes and business value.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills - able to balance customer empathy with commercial focus.
  • Passionate about automotive culture or enthusiast communities is a plus.

The displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position. On-Target Earnings (OTE) is inclusive of base salary and on-target commission earnings, which applies exclusively to sales roles.

Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This annual base salary forms part of a comprehensive Total Rewards Package. In addition to benefits, this role may qualify for discretionary bonuses/incentives and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Position Pay Range

£86,000-£108,000 GBP
