Technical Sales Manager Swine

This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures.

Job Purpose and Impact

As the Technical Sales Manager for Swine, you will work directly with swine farms and feed mills to understand their needs and offer practical, effective technical solutions that help their business needs. You will grow our specialty swine business by introducing new products, technology, and recommendations to key accounts.

You will collaborate within your commercial team and other teams in the Cargill network to identify new opportunities, grow our business, and support customers with ongoing technical guidance. You will also help manage a range of projects that involve introducing or applying new technologies in the market.

This is a remote role, and the customer base is mainly in the Northern half of the Island.

Key Accountabilities

  • Look for new commercial opportunities and be aware of upcoming technology developments in the swine sector.
  • Manage budgets for technical projects within your area.
  • Identify and provide technical support for customer issues using your experience and broad technical knowledge.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to priority customers in your region.
  • Work closely with your colleagues on the swine commercial team to achieve positive outcomes for both the customer and the business.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or MSc. in Animal Science or Animal Nutrition.
  • Strong knowledge in animal nutrition for monogastric species.
  • Proven work experience in similar roles in swine nutrition translating customer or industry needs into commercial solutions.
  • Practical experience with swine production.
  • Available for extensive travelling, up to 70%, only in Ireland.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong commercial experience and mindset.
  • B driving license.
