Sourcing & Procurement Specialist

Job Purpose and Impact
The sourcing & procurement specialist will handle the link between multiple sites assigned, Procurement PM&S organization and the vendors to ensure Procurement Process compliance and ensure competitive pricing for the plant materials & services. The sourcing & procurement specialist will handle the link between multiple sites assigned (with first focus to Sas van Gent), before in time expanding scope in order to leverage greater cost efficiencies through multi-site contracts.
Key Accountabilities
- Participate in local supplier selection and negotiations, may lead more complex selection and negotiation.
- Follow-up of contractor performance.
- Support the implementation of Select Supplier Agreement.
- Identify the PM&S need for the plant and translate into marketable spec.

- Challenge PR's on the scope and necessity.
- Ensure competitive pricing for PR's: by checking if the PR is in line with a Procurement agreement and comparing PR competitiveness with market conditions.
- Reducing text buying.
- Support the automation of PO creation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in procurement.
- Minimum of two years of work experience in the services/maintenance category.
- Fluent in English - daily work in an international environment.
- Fluent in Dutch / Flemish - regular collaboration with regional stakeholders and suppliers.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Solid negotiation and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with SAP.
- Experience working in virtual, multi-cultural teams.
