Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior HR Business Partner - Employee Relations job partners in the development of complex people and culture strategies and operational plans that deliver business results. This job ensures that priorities around talent and performance, organizational effectiveness and engagement are addressed and enhances the domain practices that allow the group or function to attract, develop, reward and retain talent. The Senior HR Business Partner provides expert guidance on complex ER matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant resolution of employee concerns.
Key Accountabilities
- EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGEMENT: Leads the end‑to‑end resolution of complex employee relations matters by conducting thorough, objective investigations, ensuring consistent and compliant application of Bulgarian labor law, advising and coaching leaders on sensitive cases, proactively identifying ER trends and risks, and partnering across regional and global teams to strengthen ER practices and employee experience.
- BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP: Partners with essential leadership to align complex people and culture strategy to business strategy.
- LEADERSHIP CONSULTING: Provides daily consulting to leadership on a variety of actions including employee relations issues, policy application, talent management and development and organizational design consultation.
- STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & ACTIVATION: Acts as an essential team member for talent strategy development and activation and supplies to the development of new capabilities in the business.
- DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION: Promotes the advancement of the diversity, equity and inclusion efforts for the business.
- METRICS & ANALYSIS: Executes tracking, analysis and reports for key metrics, including core people and culture metrics.
- PEOPLE PROCESS EXECUTION: Develops and manages the execution of core people process throughout the year.
- STRATEGY & SOLUTION CONNECTION: Participates as an active member of the community to build links across the team and supports other domain initiatives and projects and identifies and shares strategies and solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of Bulgarian labor legislation, including practical application in complex employee relations cases.
- Practical experience with core HR processes such as performance cycles, talent processes, compensation frameworks, and organizational changes.
- Proficiency with HRIS tools

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certifications in HR or Employee Relations
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations (e.g., disciplinary, grievance, performance‑related).
- Experience advising and supporting leaders through ER issues, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Experience working in multinational or matrix organizations, especially within capability centers, shared services, or technology‑driven environments.
- Strong analytical capability, including experience working with dashboards, case tracking systems, or ER metrics.
