Sales Account Manager

Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Sales Account Manager will develop customer sales strategies and build relationships based on the company's values. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portion of our customer portfolio, new customer growth through prospecting, and organic growth. Having great communication skills along with being able to multitask is very important with a business environment that is fluid and market driven. Individual will also work closely with our AR team, transportation team, operations team, along with other internal stakeholders. Having the right behaviors is very important to balance these complexities in a constructive manner.

Key Accountabilities
- Align with customer partners to provide protein goods to customers in the Illinois market, including neighboring states, while keeping face-to-face interaction with current customers and prospects.
- Process customer orders, manage overall order fill rate, and delivery service.
- Gather and communicate changes in the marketplace, changes in customer behavior, and competitive intel
- Nurture customer relationships while utilizing the Cargill Sales Framework, and other business systems, including logging customer interactions and activities on Salesforce.
- Learn the protein markets/trends by applying that information to consult our portfolio of customer that trade in the retail space/food service/manufacturing
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Proven negotiation and selling skills experience
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience in the protein industry (beef, pork, and poultry)
- Bilingual in English & Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- SAP experience
- Protein trading experience
- Data analytics experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Salesforce experience
Position Information
- Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
- Up to 20% of local travel is required to cover the area of responsibility.
- This position is located in Woodridge, IL.
- The expected salary for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
