Process Engineer

Job Purpose and Impact
The Process Engineer will apply process and project engineering techniques to improve moderately complex manufacturing processes and products. We are seeking an individual who will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement techniques and project management skills and be a contributing member of a team on moderately complex issues.
Key Accountabilities
- Collect and analyze moderately complex operational data and trends and develop recommendations and plans to improve the performance and reporting process of manufacturing equipment and processes and ensure consistent monitoring and early warning indicators.
- Help conduct cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revise operating methods.
- Establish methods to maximize use of production facilities and personnel.
- Serve as point of contact and interface with third party personnel to set priorities, monitor safety and improve their skills over time.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Six sigma green belt certification
- Experience with operations data and design programs and applications
- Lean certification
- Experience and skills leading moderately complex projects
- Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
