Job Purpose and Impact
- The Principal, Architecture job leads the development and implementation of highly complex frameworks that align the organization's information technology infrastructure with business processes and enterprise data to improve the efficiency of business operations. As a recognized subject matter expert in architecture, this job partners with leadership to achieve strategic objectives through establishing a foundational technology architecture. This job recommends and implements architecture improvements and the development of new architecture services based on emerging technology trends. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on technical engagement, and strong collaboration - ideal for an architect who enjoys connecting people, ideas, and execution.
Key Accountabilities
- RELATIONSHIP MAPPING: Maps and reviews relationships between different components of highly complex information technology systems, such as technology end users, systems software and hardware, system capabilities, and information transmission networks.
- DEPENDENCY IDENTIFICATION: Reviews key technology interactions and dependencies across systems and platforms to evaluate the organization's ability to achieve integration, compatibility, functionality and performance targets.
- COST EVALUATION: Evaluates total cost of ownership and return on investment of various highly complex information technology platform and system alternatives to support architecture decision making.
- SOLUTION STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION: Partners collaboratively to establish the direction, road map, and standards for the functional, process and technical architectural solutions.
- SERVICE ADVISORY: Provides consultation and recommendations to business leaders for a medium-to-large portfolio of architecture services.
- DOMAIN SOLUTIONS: Evaluates domain architecture solutions for a medium to large portfolio of services.
- THOUGHT LEADERSHIP: Provides thought leadership for developing new architecture services by applying expert knowledge of architecture trends and standard methodologies.
- CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Fosters continuous improvement efforts by providing thought leadership in simplifying and optimizing processes, improving data integrity, and using technical platforms.
- STANDARDS, BEST PRACTICES & ROADMAPS: Ensures alignment to technical architecture standards for platforms, software, procedures for use by internal and external resources, and communicates and documents current and future state architecture(s) solutions, identifies gaps and provides input to roadmaps and future state architectures. Partners across the function and enterprise by providing cross-functional architecture capability to build stakeholder engagement and expertise to ensure alignment with centralized Arch strategy and nuanced business requirements.
- HYBRID ARCHITECTURE CAPABILITY - Prototype, drive and design enterprise-level solutions with a concentration in designing and executing operational strategies with clear alignment to business-level process and technology optimization that is driven from the center (of the organization) with clear line of sight into business-specific priorities.

- Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.

Compensation Data
The expected salary for this position is $140,000 - $200,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
