Job Purpose and Impact
The Plant Finance Capital Accounting Analyst - EMEA job provides moderately complex financial support and analysis for the organization's projects. With limited supervision, this job performs all financial activities in projects including project cost analysis, billing and revenue. This job collaborates with project and controller teams to ensure project financials are accurately accounted and adherence to project budgets by monitoring project expenses, preparing accurate financial reports and providing valuable insights to resolve accounting issues.
Key Accountabilities
- PROJECT BUDGET DEVELOPMENT: Collaborates with project teams to maintain generally accepted accounting principles compliance, asset cost breakdown and process adherence.
- FINANCIAL ANALYSIS: Analyses moderately complex project financial data, including costs, revenues and expenses to identify trends, variances and potential risks.
- FINANCIAL REPORTING: Delivers accurate and timely moderately complex financial reports, including project cost estimates, forecasts and actuals to support project decision making.
- EXPENSE MONITORING: Monitors project expenses to ensure adherence to approved budgets, identifying and addressing any deviations or cost overruns.
- PROJECT COST OPTIMIZATION: Conducts moderately complex financial reviews and provides recommendations to optimize project costs, improve profitability and mitigate financial risks.
- PROBLEM RESOLUTION: Understands the method for root cause analysis, participates in the investigation and provides insight for resolution. .
- IMPLEMENT CORPORATE & LOCAL POLICIES: Communicates, educates and implements corporate and local procedures and policies in the supported business including mentoring and training personnel, developing reporting tools and gaining alignment with other functions as necessary.
- PROJECT CLOSURE ACTIVITIES: Ensures accurate classification of costs, on time capitalization and adherence to policies by applying knowledge and collaborates with business and controllership to ensure timely closure of projects.
- INDUSTRY EXPERTISE: Stays abreast of industry regulations and accounting standards, ensuring compliance and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
- Fluency in English - written and verbal
- Experience with reporting tools - ex. Power BI
