National Key Account Manager

This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures.

Job Purpose and Impact

The National Key Account Manager partners with large-scale-farming customers to enhance business performance through a strong focus on financial health, cash flow optimization, and sustainable growth. The role drives value by combining commercial strategies with operational and financial insights, while mobilizing internal teams and external partners to deliver tailored solutions. This position also plays a key role in expanding the business by identifying new opportunities and engaging potential investors within and beyond the industry.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of large, investor-driven customers, acting as the primary business partner
  • Identify, lead, and convert commercial opportunities while developing long-term account growth and retention strategies
  • Analyze customer financial performance, including cash flow, profitability, and investment efficiency, to drive business decisions
  • Develop and execute integrated account plans combining commercial, financial, and operational solutions
  • Partner closely with technical teams to align operational performance with customer business and investment objectives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Pricing, etc.) to deliver tailored, value-driven solutions
  • Advise customers on strategic priorities including expansion, cost optimization, and capital allocation
  • Facilitate connections with banks, financial institutions, and alternative funding sources to support customer growth
  • Monitor, review, and report on account performance, customer retention, market trends, and emerging opportunities
  • Independently resolve complex business and customer issues, ensuring high-quality service while escalating only when necessary


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related fields
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and cash flow management
  • 8+ years of experience in Key Account Management or B2B commercial roles, with proven success managing large, complex customers or investor-led business models
  • Having experience, knowledge and network in agribusiness, animal nutrition industry is a strong advantage
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to optimize customer performance
  • Proven business development and networking capability (Farm owner, investors, banks)
  • Ability to develop integrated solutions across financial, operational, and commercial aspects
