Mechanical Supervisor (m/f/d)

Job Purpose and Impact
The Mechanical Supervisor will coordinate the repair and maintenance of machinery, vehicles, and equipment within the AG&T area of the Riesa plant (crush, refinery, and utilities). We are seeking a professional focused on tactical and operational activities who can align with and implement reliability practices and programs. In this role, you will oversee maintenance, repair, and project planning while staying current with industry best practices.

Key Accountabilities
- Inspect, monitor, and maintain machines and production equipment across crushing, refining, and utilities, following company requirements, production input, equipment condition, and available budget.
- Develop and execute tactical maintenance schedules to ensure effective use of labor, tools, and equipment. Coordinate emergency repairs when needed to support business continuity.
- Plan and prioritize work orders, scheduling both short‑ and long‑duration maintenance activities using the CMMS to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
- Ensure all mechanical work complies with safety standards, including LOTO (Lockout Tagout), work permits, and Pre‑Job Hazard Analyses (PJHA). Demonstrate a proactive, visible commitment to safety.
- Develop, maintain, and implement maintenance SOPs, providing coaching and technical support to team members in the field.
- Lead and support your mechanical team, including responsibilities for hiring, performance management, development, and corrective actions in line with company policies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical or vocational education in mechanical engineering
- Proven experience leading a mechanical team or department in a production or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated people‑leadership skills, including supervising and developing teams
- Working knowledge of SAP system
- German - advanced proficiency and English - intermediate proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting audit compliance, corrective actions and root cause analysis (RCA) processes
