Maintenance and Reliability Supervisor

Job Purpose and Impact
The Maintenance and Reliability Supervisor will coordinate the repair and maintenance of machinery, vehicles and equipment. We seek a professional who will focus on tactical and operational activities and align and implement reliability practices and programs. In this role, you will lead all aspects of maintenance, repair and project planning and stay up-to-date with industry best practices. (#LI-ES2)
Location: Alberta / Calgary
Key Accountabilities
- Supervision of Maintenance Activities: Coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Schedule preventive maintenance and respond promptly to repair requests.
- Reliability Management: Develop and maintain a reliability management system, including equipment data and preventive maintenance procedures, to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within maintenance processes, analyze equipment failures, implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of reliability.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform effectively.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and industry best practices through regular inspections and assessments.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related technical field OR
- A valid Alberta or Interprovincial Journeyman ticket (Millwright, Electrician, Refrigeration, or related trade)
- Experience supporting audit compliance and root/cause analysis processes
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or food processing environment
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
- Proven track of supervisory experience
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs/ladders for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Primarily day shift: occasional weekend or on-call availability may be required.
- Overtime may be necessary during peak production or emergency repairs.

Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track of supervisory experience
- Experience with food safety standards (HACCP, CFIA regulations).
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
